매일일보 = 김종혁 기자 | '제24회 서울국제대안영상예술페스티벌(www.nemaf.net, 네마프 2024)’이 8월 1일 서울미디어대학원대학교(SMIT) 미디어홀(상암 DMC KGIT센터 4층)에서 개막식을 개최하고 본격 7일간의 축제를 시작한다.
국내 유일의 영화와 전시를 아우르는 탈장르 대안영화제이자 뉴미디어아트 대안영상예술축제인 네마프 2024는 오는 8월1일~8월7일까지 대안영화, 디지털영화, 실험영화, 비디오아트 등 30여개국 87편을 KT&G상상마당 시네마/스위트관, 서울아트시네마, 별관 아웃하우스, 서울미디어대학원대학교(SMIT) 미디어홀 등에서 상영, 멀티스크리닝 전시한다.
개막식 사회는 방송인으로 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있는 윤성은 영화평론가와 남기웅 네마프 선정큐레이터가 맡았다. 올해의 홍보대사인 송은지 싱어송라이터 겸 배우도 개막식 무대에 함께 한다.

[PD저널=이은미 KBS PD] 디지털 치매 때문인가. 대화를 나누다가 문득 말하고 싶은 얘기가 떠올랐는데, 상대방이 하던 얘기를 다 듣고 나서 그 말을 하려고 하면, 내가 무슨 말을 하려고 했는지 잊어버리기 십상이다.
이런 일이 반복되다 보니 상대방에게 말할 시간을 주지 않고 혹은 하던 대화의 맥을 끊고는 내가 하고 싶은 말만 쏟아 놓기 일쑤다. 이런 현상은 가족이나 가까운 친구 사이 일수록 더 자주 나타난다. 드라마 시나리오에서 대화를 쓸 때 반드시 기억해야 하는 작법 중 하나가 ‘액션과 리액션’이다. 등장인물 한 사람이 하고 싶은 말을 다 쏟아내서는 안되고, 한 인물이 대사를 던지면 상대 인물이 그 대사에 반응을 하면서 다이알로그가 형성되는 것이다.
이렇게 인물들이 대사를 주고받으면서 정보나 사건이 증폭되고 스토리가 진행된다. 결국 소통은 액션과 리액션으로 구성되는 셈이다. 그런데 현실에선 점점 대화의 ‘액션과 리액션’ 기술이 점차 퇴보하고 있는 것 같다.
얼마 전 ‘액션과 리액션’이 연상되는 작품을 석파정 서울미술관 전시에서 발견했다. 바로 설은아 작가의 ‘세상의 끝과 부재중 통화’와 김현주(ex-media)작가의 ‘the camp'이다. 원래 두 작품은 같은 미술관 내 서로 다른 전시에 설치된 작품이지만, 두 개의 작품이 액션과 리액션, 즉 소통이라는 점에서 비슷하다.
